Kannapolis Sweeps into the Round 2 Sunday, September 10th , 2028 The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers are on to the Round 2 after a convincing series win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Kannapolis wrapped up the series sweep with a 4-3 win in the last game, to take the series 3-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Layant Tapia, who was named series MVP. For the series, Tapia hit .545 with a .583 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers don't know who they will face in the next round.
