Porter Bess of the Altoona Curve went on a hitting spree against the Erie SeaWolves pitching staff, racking up 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but to no avail -- the SeaWolves put a damper on his day and prevailed, 7-6, over the Curve.

"It was a heck of a day and I was kind of looking forward to a better ending than that," he said later.

Porter Bess hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Chris Hammer in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 11th.
