Morales Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
|
Jesus Morales did a number on the Dodgers in the 3-2 El Paso victory -- and the number was 5. The Chihuahuas catcher banged out 5 hits in 9 at-bats at Southwest University park to lead his club past the Oklahoma City Dodgers.
"I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."
Jesus Morales singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, doubled in the 10th, grounded out in the 12th, struck out in the 14th, singled in the 17th and hit an RBI single in the 19th.
For the year, Morales is batting .294 with 40 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 19 times and driven in 26.
