Rivera, Pirates Sink Giants Again in Game 2
The Pittsburgh Pirates moved to within one game of the League Championship Series today, downing the visiting San Francisco Giants at PNC Park by a score of 8-5. Pirates first baseman Josh Rivera did some major damage. He went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win gives the Pirates a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

Colin Barber, the Pittsburgh left fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 7-5, Pirates. For the game, Barber was 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.

"We maximized our offense today," said Pittsburgh skipper Charlie Ritter. "That makes everyone's life easier."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Oracle Park in San Francisco.
