Raucous Kauffman Stadium Crowd Propels Royals to 3-1 Victory; Series Tied at 1

With designated hitter Judson Fabian leading the charge, the Kansas City Royals defeated the visiting Los Angeles Angels, 3-1, in Game 2 of the Division Series today. Fabian was 2-3 with a home run and a walk at Kauffman Stadium to help Kansas City force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.
Jim Baron dealt the Angels a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 1st and Kansas City leading 2-1, Baron, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2024 draft, hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring double.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Kansas City manager Jeff Plunkett. "Our pregame was pretty good."
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim.
