Fisher Cats Crowned Champions
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats were good enough to get past the Richmond Flying Squirrels at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium today and secure the 1st championship in franchise history.

"When you wear Fisher Cats on your shirt, you're good at something," New Hampshire skipper Todd Pratt told the press.

Fisher Cats catcher Jesus Suarez was named MVP of the series after he went .385 with no home runs and 3 RBI.

"It feels totally incredible," Suarez said. "I could live to 1,000 years old and I'd remember this moment."

The new champions capped off a great season with a 10-2 victory over the Flying Squirrels to win the Round 1 3-1.
