Astros Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep
After their 2-0 win today at Joker Marchant Stadium over the Detroit W (GCL) Tigers West, the Houston (GCL) Astros will advance to the Round 2. Houston (GCL) won the series by a 2-0 margin.

Leading the way for the Astros was starting pitcher Joey Sales, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Houston (GCL) Astros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays - St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
