Gotti Belts Bunch of Base Hits
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Marcox Gotti -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Tower Complex and paced the 18-7 Giants Orange win over the Detroit (DSL) Tigers 2.

After his dynamite batting performance, the San Francisco (DSL) first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Marcox Gotti hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Alvaro Ortega in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Alvaro Ortega in the 9th.

Currently Gotti is batting .652 with 18 home runs and 54 RBIs.
