Pecina on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Miami (DSL)
After a 5-hit effort to lead Arizona (DSL)'s 21-4 victory over the Miami (DSL) Marlins 2, right fielder Rodolfo Pecina told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Dominican Rookie League-level is really something special."

The 22-year-old player earned his accolades at Baseball City Complex with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Marlins 2.

"His swing is getting there," said Diamondbacks Red skipper Corderious Dodd, who spoke glowingly of Pecina after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Rodolfo did that to perfection."

Rodolfo Pecina hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Julio Ramirez in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and doubled in the 7th.

Thus far this year, Pecina is batting .707 with 2 home runs, 26 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
