Express Lose to Crocs, 6-2
|
Univ. of the Bayou Crocs starter Ian Dicus pitched his team past the West Texas State Express, 6-2. Dicus, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 11 and giving up no walks. The Crocs, at 27-14, lead by one game in their division.
Larry Sayers was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles for Univ. of the Bayou. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Jon Moreno. It was his 42nd hit of the season.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Sayers.
