Cooper Richards, who is tied for 9th in the with a 9.9 K/9 rate, propelled his team to victory over the Blue Ridge State Bucks. The final score was 2-0, Key West State. Richards, now 5-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Kyle Christopher, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 14th save.
The Tortugas got a big at-bat from first baseman Bryce Pickford. For the game, Pickford was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
