The Puget State Fighting Puffins defeated the West Texas State Express, 9-1. Doing his part was center fielder Mike Hull, who went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Puget State pitcher Antonio Rosario earned the win, hiking his record to 3-4. Ross Jacobus suffered the loss. The Express had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Fighting Puffins going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the slugging first baseman Justin Frohnapfel came to the plate. Frohnapfel hit a run-scoring double on a 2-2 slider from West Texas State hurler Ross Jacobus. It was Frohnapfel's 6th double of the year.
