Hess Helps Blue Ridge State Cruise to 10-3 Win
The Blue Ridge State Bucks beat the Northern California Redwoods, 10-3, at Anglers Park. David Hess, who is tied for 5th in the with a .340 batting average, starred for Blue Ridge State. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. The win elevated the Bucks to 16-10.

Blue Ridge State won the game in part because of Vinny Nino. The right fielder ripped a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Bucks ahead, 3-0. For the game, Nino had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
