Playoffs Won't Happen for Blue Jays Friday, September 4th , 2043 It's a "gut-wrenching feeling," Bluefield Blue Jays reliever Jeremy Eskola said, for the team to have gotten so close to a playoff berth, only to be eliminated in the waning days of the season. The club was officially eliminated from the postseason chase today. This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2041. In total, the Blue Jays have missed the playoffs 20 times in their 24-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Blue Jays have only made the playoffs once. Bluefield last won the Round 1 in 2041. |
