Anderson Gone for Season in Hillsboro Friday, August 14th , 2043 The season is finished for Mike Anderson of the Hillsboro Hops. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Hops shortstop suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing the ball in a recent game against the Truman Bulldogs. Team doctors said it would take at least 4-5 months to heal. For the year, Anderson has hit .256 with 3 home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 18 runs. |
