Lake Elsinore Wins Round 1 Saturday, September 19th , 2043 Lake Elsinore Diamond was the buzzing center of the baseball universe tonight, hosting the deciding game of the Round 1. The Lake Elsinore Storm and Tucson Bishops had battled tooth and nail to arrive at the final game and in the end it was the Storm prevailing 10-0 to move on to the Round 2. "There's no feeling quite like winning a series in the final game," said an excited Frank Naranjo, who was named series MVP. "This was two great teams and it turned out to be a great series. It's good for the fans." For the series, Naranjo had a 0.00 ERA over 15.1 innings pitched, with a 2-0 record. The Lake Elsinore Storm don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Visalia Rawhide - San Jose Giants series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. View Boxscore |
