Cortes Goes Cycling

Jon Cortes hit for the cycle and paced the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes to a win, 16-13, against the Lancaster JetHawks at LoanMart Field.
The Quakes left fielder led the way for his club with 4 hits in 6 at-bats -- 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- along with 2 runs batted in and 3 runs.
"Now that I know what Jon is capable of, I'm going to expect it more often," Rancho Cucamonga manager Jaden Winder joked with reporters after the game.
Jon Cortes grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Andres Linares in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 7th.
For the season, Cortes has hit .354 with 6 home runs and 47 RBIs. He has played in 65 games and scored 44 times.
