Houston Astros starter Ben Mathews pitched well against the Los Angeles (A) Angels at Johnny Dang & Co. Sporting Complex, leading his team to a win, 3-2. At 18-8, the Astros have played well so far.

Eric Patno was the walk-off hero for Houston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Astros center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Patno said.
