The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Globe Life Field, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 11-3. Starting pitcher Bob Kitchens played a key role in the triumph. Boston, at 77-53, is 9 games up in the American League East Division.

Mike Musgrave had a big 2-run double for the Red Sox in the top of the first inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Tim Pauly, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2042 draft, and swatted a double to left. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Sox ahead, 3-0.

"That was a really good outing by Bob," said Boston manager Matt Clements.
