The Austin Armadillos withstood a fine game by Toronto center fielder Josh Head at Topher's Vanity Venue, to upend the Blue Jays, 4-3. Head went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Vinny Reina earned the win for Austin. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 5-5. Willie Castellanos earned the save for Austin, his 4th of the year.

Jonathan Estrada, who is tied for 7th in the AL in stolen bases with 28, had a direct impact on the outcome. Estrada contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Austin up, 4-1.
