Charlotte pitcher Erik Sutherland did his part in helping his team defeat the Cincinnati Reds, 5-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The win for the Flight raised their record to 88-71.

Sutherland's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 6.1 innings while allowing 1 hit. Sutherland goes to 8-8 on the year with 158 strikeouts.
