Cincinnati Reds pitcher Chris Jenkins was in top form, leading his team past the Charlotte Flight, 4-1. The loss makes Charlotte 26-14.

Had Steve Hersom not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Hersom hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Reds.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Hersom.
