It wasn't easy but the Las Vegas Silver Wolves made it look that way.

Starter Eric Spanish shut out the West Virginia Power despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Las Vegas Silver Wolves cruised to victory, 1-0. Spanish allowed only 2 hits and rang up 4 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

So far this year, Spanish has compiled a 7-9 record with a 2.56 ERA.
