Austin Tosses Shutout Against Power
The West Virginia Power manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Las Vegas Silver Wolves. The Power were overpowered by Las Vegas starter Steve Austin, who hurled his club to victory, 6-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Jonathan Hovis said.

Over 9 innings, Austin blanked West Virginia on 5 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Austin said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

For this year, Austin has chalked up 12 wins and 8 losses in 24 starts with 129 strikeouts in 179.2 innings and a 3.06 ERA.
