Sele Leads Houston Past Milwaukee
|
Aaron Sele, who is tied for 9th in the NL in wins with 5, imposed his will on the Brewers from the get-go. Relying mainly on his curveball, the right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 Houston triumph. Tom Gordon collected his 8th save. With the win, the Astros have a record of 26-22.
Sele, a native of Golden Valley, Minnesota, was dealing all game. He kept Milwaukee hitters off-balance, while giving the Astros 7 quality innings. Sele threw 111 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.
"All my pitches were working," said Sele. "They were all synchronized together in attacking the zone."
