Dukes Hammered by Kelly, Drop Game 3 to Cubs
Riding the 4-hit performance of right fielder Mike Kelly, the Iowa Cubs got a road win against the Albuquerque Dukes, 12-7, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series. Kelly went 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for the Cubs, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Catcher Sandy Alomar Jr. made an impact for Iowa, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Tim Harikkala in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Alomar Jr. was 1-4 with a triple and a walk.

"It's on me," said Dukes manager . "The guys I sent out there today were the wrong ones for the situation. I'll be sure to send the right ones out next time."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Royal Grounds in Albuquerque.
