Toledo Wins Wild Card Round
The Toledo Mud Hens took time to celebrate with the Toledo fans who stuck around after the game, following the team's Wild Card Round triumph over the Salt Lake Buzz.

Members of the Mud Hens hung around chatting, high-fiving and taking pictures with the Toledo fans in attendance at Bisons Park, long after the last pitch had been thrown in their 8-0 win to seal the series 3-1.

"We've got great fan support," said second baseman David Howard. "Whether we're at home or on the road, the fans support us. So we wanted to show them how important that is to us. Some Salt Lake fans that were there even congratulated us on the win."

For the series, Howard hit .385 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 2 runs.

Things weren't so cordial on the Buzz side of things. Their clubhouse was closed to media after the game and all players and coaches quickly dressed and left the stadium after the end to their season.

The Toledo Mud Hens will play against the Oklahoma RedHawks in the next round. Oklahoma won their series against the Rochester Red Wings 3 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Round finishes.
