The Houston Astros beat the Cleveland Guardians, 8-6, at Progressive Field. The Astros got a fine performance from second baseman Alex Salas, who went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Guardians, now 53-52, have lost 4 in a row.
Andy Millsap, who finished 5th in the AL in hits with 187 in 2044, helped out the Houston cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4.
