Hit Streak for Ross Reaches 20 Monday, August 17th , 2043 Jim Ross has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 21-year-old Boston (FCL) Red Sox catcher extended his streak to 20 games, going 2-for-4 as Boston (FCL) got the best of the Tampa Bay (FCL) Rays at JetBlue Park, 25-6. "Jim has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Red Sox manager said. Jim Ross hit a sac fly in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off David Ramos in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. This year, Ross has 16 home runs and a .398 batting average. |
