Big 3-HR Day for Gerardi Saturday, August 15th , 2043 Tampa Bay (FCL) Rays second baseman Danny Gerardi had a magnificent game against the Atlanta (FCL) Braves, rocketing three balls out of CoolToday Park to help the Rays win, 5-3. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Gerardi went 4-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Tampa Bay (FCL) manager said later. "Seems like Danny found his home run stroke today." Danny Gerardi singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Ambrosi Galimberti in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Curt Huerta in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Curt Huerta in the 8th. In 2043 Gerardi has hit at a .232 clip with 16 hits, 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and has scored 13 times. |
