Heffelfinger Tags 3 HR Against White Sox Friday, August 3rd , 2040 It was a terrific day for Dan Heffelfinger, who ripped three home runs at Surprise Stadium, and a disappointing one for the Kansas City (ACL) Royals who, nevertheless, dropped the game, 19-15, to the Chicago A (ACL) White Sox. "He was instant offense," Kansas City (ACL) skipper said. "Dan really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game." For the day, Heffelfinger collected 3 hits in 6 at-bats, scored 4 runs and had 5 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told the reporters he has always liked to hit at Surprise Stadium. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he said. Dan Heffelfinger walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Eric Peltier in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Nate Parham in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Josh Henry in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. Heffelfinger is hitting at a .382 mark this season. His stats show 22 home runs, 46 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has played 34 games for the Royals. |
