Modesto Punchless in 9-0 Loss to Rawhide Thursday, September 27th , 2040 Today was Steve Hartle's turn in the rotation for the Visalia Rawhide and he made the most of it, shutting out the Modesto Nuts on 2 hits. The 24-year-old right-hander led the Rawhide to an easy 9-0 victory, allowing 2 walks and tallying 14 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Modesto manager said. "Hartle certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds." Hartle has posted a 17-3 record for the year with a 4.51 ERA. Teams are hitting .269 against him and he has rung up 235 strikeouts in 179.2 innings. |
