Charette Shuts Out New York, 8-0 Tuesday, April 30th , 2041 Haywood Charette kept the New York Yankees hitters from doing much damage at Yankee Stadium. New York could only muster 5 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Charette, who controlled them throughout the game. Cleveland won the contest, 8-0.
