Boston turned a good performance from starting pitcher Jaime Bollinger into a 3-2 triumph over the Chicago Cubs in 10 innings at Fenway Park. The loss drops Chicago to 12-14.

The Red Sox got a clutch hit from right fielder Christian Pitts. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Red Sox.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Pitts told reporters after the game.
