Kaye Hurls Fireflies to Shutout Victory
|
Pat Kaye of the Columbia Fireflies was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 4-0.
"He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Columbia manager said later. "When Pat does that, good things happen."
The right-hander had 6 strikeouts, 3 walks and allowed 5 hits in the win.
