Pirates Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 7-5, in 12 innings in National League action at American Family Field. Pittsburgh pitcher Joe Kaser had a standout performance. The win lifts Pittsburgh to a record of 8-11.
In the top of the 12th, former first round draft pick Devin Bay delivered for Pittsburgh. That's when he belted a 2-run home run, putting the Pirates up, 7-5. It was his lone hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a climactic one.
"I'm proud to wear a Pittsburgh jersey," Bay told the Pittsburgh Daily News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
