The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees, 10-5, at Yankee Stadium. Pat Brown, in particular, was impressive. He went 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Boston has now won 5 straight.

Boston used the hitting of Christian Pitts to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 7-3. For the game, Pitts had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
