Angels Post 6-1 Win Over New York
|
New York had no answer for California Angels starter Cipta Simbolon, who flummoxed Yankees hitters as the Angels cruised to victory, 6-1. California now sports a record of 59-54.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jeff DeFilippis? The California center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Angels on top, 2-1. For the game, DeFilippis had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Cipta went out and got the job done," said Angels manager Los Angeles (A) GM.
