Milwaukee Upended, 4-1, by Atlanta
|
The Atlanta Braves stifled the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-1, at American Family Field. Edgar Figueroa had his hitting cap on. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Atlanta. Atlanta reliever Latrell Adeoye snagged the win, upping his record to 1-2. Angel Gonzalez shouldered the loss. Alfredo Aguilar sewed up the save, his 15th.
Figueroa had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Angel Gonzalez, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Braves a 3-1 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Figueroa.
Atlanta manager Atlanta GM commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
The Braves now have a record of 40-69.
