It's Over! Fresno Defeats Inland Empire
It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Fresno Grizzlies, that meant the California League Round 2 trophy.

The Grizzlies took a 11-6 victory over the Inland Empire 66ers at San Manuel Stadium, winning their 13th championship after taking the series 4-0.

"We've got grit," said Grizzlies center fielder Jesus Herrera, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."

The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Northern Division and a 105-27 record.
