Mets shortstop Andy Long left his mark on his team's 11-3 win over the Kansas City Royals. Long, who finished 4th in the NL in doubles with 38 in 2028, went 3-5 with a home run and a double. New York used the hitting of Randy Hickman to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Mets on top, 5-2. For the game, Hickman had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
