Gurriel Raps Omaha for 6 Hits Sunday, August 23rd , 2015 A big day at bat for Yuli Gurriel of the Columbus Running Rebels still ended with a loss. The Columbus first baseman did all he could do, going 6-for-7, but it was not enough to overcome the Omaha Ambassadors. They triumphed over Columbus, 9-6, at Omaha Grounds. Yuli Gurriel singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jeanmar Gomez in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, walked in the 7th, doubled in the 9th, singled in the 11th, flied out in the 13th and singled in the 15th. So far on the season, Gurriel is hitting .373 with 7 home runs, 47 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has 107 hits and played in 67 games. |
