No Late-Season Magic Coming: Florida Out of Playoffs Monday, September 29th , 2003 While the Florida Marlins clubhouse is normally a jovial and upbeat place, things were extremely solemn today. That's because the club is now officially eliminated from playoff contention. Florida last appeared in the postseason in 2001. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 8 times in their 11 - year history. |
