Dodgers Shortstop Zobrist Injured Tuesday, April 29th , 2014 Los Angeles fans will be disappointed to learn that Ben Zobrist suffered a herniated disc while colliding with a player at a base in today's game. After the doctor informed the Los Angeles Dodgers manager that Zobrist was expected to miss 5 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the shortstop could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper. Zobrist is batting .290 this year with 2 home runs, 17 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 100 at-bats. |
