AL Picks Top Player Monday, August 28th , 2017 At the age of 28, Jason Heyward might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Texas center fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .478 batting average. For his efforts Heyward collected the AL Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs and 10 RBIs last week in 6 games. To date this year, Heyward is batting .298 with 28 home runs. |
