Holliday Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Tuesday, July 8th , 2014 Matt Holliday, left fielder for the Boston Red Sox, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 4 hits in his club's 5-4 victory today over the New York Yankees at Fenway Park today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Matt Holliday struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and tripled in the 10th. This season Holliday is batting at a .298 clip with 11 home runs and 54 RBIs. |
