Red Sox Come Up Short at Toronto, 4-3
|
Toronto starter Hisashi Iwakuma pitched well against the Boston Red Sox at SkyDome 1989-2015. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Josh Collmenter notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. The save went to Huston Street, his 2nd this season.
Toronto grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Cristian Guzman delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Blue Jays.
"Hisashi was throwing strikes, locating well," said Toronto manager .
The Blue Jays, with just their 4th win so far in 2014, have yet to catch fire.
