Baltimore Gets 5-2 Win
|
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Minnesota Twins, 5-2. Baltimore pitcher and Dominican Republic, native Frankie Montas led the way. Picking up the save was Edwin Díaz. He's now 27 for 33 in save chances. With the win, Baltimore upped its record to 71-60.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Pete Alonso? The Baltimore designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Orioles on top, 2-0. For the game, Alonso had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"I still think this team can play even better," Alonso told the Baltimore Observer.
