Cleveland turned a good performance from starting pitcher Marco Gonzales into a 5-2 triumph over the Seattle Mariners at Jacobs Field 1994-2014. The winning pitcher was Gonzales, now 19-4. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 9. Greg Holland recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 17 for 18.

Carlos Quentin had a big 2-run home run for the Indians in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Cleveland leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a curveball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Zach Davies and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Indians on top, 5-1.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Gonzales.

Cleveland goes to 79-48. The win puts them 15 games up in their division.
