Toronto Sweeps into the League Championship Series
|
Depending on your loyalties, the Divisional Series was either a lot of fun or a lot of frustration.
There wasn't much of a fight put up, with the Toronto Blue Jays taking a drama-free, 4-0 sweep of the Oakland Athletics.
"We're in good shape going into the League Championship Series," said Toronto pitcher Jaret Wright, after his team won the final game by a 1-0 count. "If we play like this going forward, we'll definitely win the World Series."
Wright earned series MVP honors, with a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record.
The Toronto Blue Jays don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Anaheim Angels - Baltimore Orioles series. Baltimore leads the series 3 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.Wright earned series MVP honors, with a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record.
